The Egg Was First, A Feature Space exhibit featuring the artist, Aka Pereyma with work by her daughters Vaka Pereyma and Christina Pereyma. In addition a collection of pysanky, the Ukrainian decorated egg by many of Aka’s family members.

The show will be on view from April 3 to April 30th and will include many hands on activities for children and adults.

A demo of Pysanky writing will take place April 25, 2026 in the Children's Activity Room at noon. The demo will be by Helen O’Neal, granddaughter of Aka Pereyma.
