Do you love books and food? Are you looking for a fun, low-cost way to increase your cooking skills, try new recipes and make some new foodie friends? Then perhaps the "Cookbook Book Club" is for you!
This month's book is My Kitchen Year: 136 Recipes that Saved My Life by Ruth Reichl
Our book club hostess is Chef JoEllen Hothem. She is a self-educated home chef who began exploring food ways and cooking as a child through the "Mud Pies and Other Recipes" by Marjorie Winslow. She loves to learn about world cuisines through reading and travel. A firm believer in the tremendous health benefits of intentional, healthful eating, in community, she combines her love of food with her public speaking and instructional training to help people learn the principles of taste, flavor and foundational cooking skills, so they can confidently prepare tasty and healthful meals for themselves, family and friends.
