This presentation with a docent from the Cincinnati Museum Center will share information about the many varieties of Amusement Parks and venues that have existed in the Greater Cincinnati Area. Looking at the Ohio River now, you’d never guess that in the 1890’s there were popular sandy beaches where on a warm Saturday or Sunday afternoon it was common to see as many as 20,000 people swimming in the river! From the Ohio River beaches and Trolly Amusement Parks to the Zoo, Coney Island, Kings Island and beyond; you’ll learn that what today’s patrons expect was certainly NOT what existed in the past.
Pizza lunch from Snappy Tomato Pizza will be provided to those registered.
