Description

About the series "Create the Feels"

If you’ve seen the movies Inside Out and Inside out 2, you may be familiar with a few of those loveable characters like Joy, Anger, and Sadness. Join Artist Charlotte Reed from Art Equals for a chance to create your own “feels” through a series of workshops that will let you explore those emotions through art.

Sometimes we have to hide or control our feelings to help us get through our daily events, such as work, school, social meet ups, etc. Not an easy task to do, especially with strong emotions like anger or sadness. We all need to let those emotions have their moment and creativity is a great way to express them while learning about ourselves. This is a welcoming space where everyone can create and be supported. All abilities welcome.

Suggested ages 1 and up.

Art Equals Mission:
"Art Equals empowers everyone to be an artist, providing community-driven accessible opportunities for creative growth and healing.

We want to make creativity accessible to every person, not just those who call themselves artists. At Art Equals, founded by art therapist Charlotte Reed, we work to overcome the barriers that stand in the way to being creative, whether, mental, physical, cultural, economic, or geographic.

We do this by bringing people together in creative communities and by helping each person in that community realize their unique path to creative healing."

This series is brought to you by the Digital Branch. Please check out CreativeBug and all our materials to support your creativity.
