Description

Please Join us for a special Kentucky Humanities Kentucky Chautauqua© featuring Abraham Lincoln: Before the Presidency portrayed by Forrest Loeffler.

Much is known about President Abraham Lincoln. But who was the Hodgenville, Kentucky, native before he arrived at the White House to lead the United States through the Civil War? Largely self-education, Lincoln moved from one professional pursuit to another: carpenter, riverboat man, store clerk, soldier merchant, post mater, blacksmith, and surveyor. His intellect, curiosity, compassion and ambition would eventually lead him to greatness.

This program was funded in part by Kentucky Humanities and the National Endowment for the Humanities. To Learn more about the Chautauqua® program, please visit: Chautauqua (kyhumanities.org)
